Prompted Spiral is a public research project. Its goal is to collect real stories from people about their experiences with AI, so that users, developers, journalists, and policymakers can hear and understand what’s actually happening on the human side of the interface.

Here’s what you can expect and what you’re agreeing to when you submit a story:

1. You decide what name is shown.
You can use your real name, a pseudonym, a nickname, or something silly. Whatever you enter in the “name” field will be shown with your story. Do not share information from other individuals without their permission. We don’t ask for or store your email address.

2. Your story is public and reusable.
By submitting, you agree to share your story under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. That means anyone can quote it, analyze it, or include it in articles, reports, and research—as long as they give you credit by name. Deleting from this site does not revoke copies already made under the CC BY 4.0 license, which allows commercial reuse.

3. You can delete your story, but not edit it.
We don’t use logins or accounts, so you’ll get a story ID and passphrase when you submit. You can use those to delete your story later if you change your mind. If you lose that info, we can’t retrieve or remove your story for you.

4. You retain your voice.
Stories are published in your own words, without rewriting for tone or style. We may correct obvious typos, grammer or remove private or harmful information if needed, but we won’t change what you’re trying to say.

5. You have the right to not participate.
If you’re uncomfortable sharing, don’t. You don’t owe anyone your story. You can still read others’, reflect, and choose whether or not to speak.
