How we steward your stories
Ready to submit your story?
Be Patient: Please remember I am one person, and have personal things going on. I will approve your story as soon as possible, but it may be several days. For your privacy and safety, I do not ask for e-mails to notify on publishing. Do not ask me to notify you when your story is published.
Critique Systems, Not People: I welcome harsh, honest criticism of AI systems, companies, and design choices. I will not, however, publish cruel or dangerous harassment targeted at other people.
Only Tell Your Own Story: You’re welcome to talk about what you’ve experienced personally on your walk with AI, but do not share someone else’s story. If I suspect that you’ve submitted someone else’s story that won’t be allowed. If you are giving opinions on models, and I have reasonable doubt that you’re talking because you heard about something in the news or from someone else, your story will not be approved. This is part of the integrity of the project.
Hard Truths, Not Hate: This is a space for grief, fury, and disappointment—but not harassment. You can call out harms. I will not publish targeted harassment or abuse.
Only Submit Your Story Once: As part of the integrity of the archive, please only submit your story once. If you want to tell different stories in different categories that is fine. Be aware that I am only one person, so it can take several days before stories are approved. Do not panic if you don’t see it right away.
NSFW is Fine, But Keep It Balanced: While I allow NSFW content with the proper warnings selected, please keep it within reasonable limits. Focus on the dynamics and the experience, not graphic anatomical descriptions. This is not a place for straight up erotica or glorified gore or violence. The line might be thin, but stories may be fully rejected or partly edited if lines are crossed.
I Curate for Quality and Focus: I welcome mixed feelings, confusion, and messy stories—that’s the whole point. But this is not a personal journal or a spam folder. I reserve the right to not publish submissions that are low-effort, clearly off-topic, or don’t contribute to the archive. Submissions must be coherent and readable.
Privacy is Important: I will verify that stories do not contain real last names, addresses, or contact info for private individuals. I reserve the right to gently edit a story to remove this information (e.g., changing “John Smith” to “[My Boss]”) so the story can still be told safely.
Don’t Resubmit Stories: Please don’t resubmit stories that have been declined unless they have been meaningfully changed. Submissions are reviewed by a single moderator, if your story was removed, it didn’t meet the standards of the archive.
It’s Okay to Submit Stories from Other Places: If you’ve written up your story on social media or your website, feel free to share it here, as long as it’s yours.
Share the Credit if AI Written. If you had AI put final polish or wrote it all, or your companion wanted to put a few words in for itself, just give it credit, please.
Duplicate Stories and Submissions May be Deleted: To create the data integrity and honesty, duplicated submissions will be deleted.
No Spam: It’s okay to tell a story about something you made with AI, but if it borders on self-promotion only it may be rejected. I look for stories that resonate, not sell.
Only Use English: While I welcome worldwide submissions, I’d like to keep it in one language. Please use Google Translate or an AI to translate your story prior to submitting if you don’t speak it. I do not have time to translate all responses and so if they are not in English they will be deleted.
This is the absolute baseline. I will not publish hate speech, threats of violence, or targeted harassment of any individual or group. If a story feels dangerous to the people reading it or the people mentioned in it, it won’t go up.
Now that you’ve read the guidelines are you ready to submit your story?
Moderation Note:
I do my best to give every submission a fair reading. I apologize to the authors of any legitimate stories that may be mistakenly declined but the integrity and honesty of Prompted Spiral Archive archive must come first. In order to preserve the honesty and clarity of the data, I moderate with intention and care.
Once a story is declined, it is deleted out of the database.
